A Proud Day for 1MT with the Successful Black Belt Graduation in Riyadh

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 22, 2025, was a special day at Pakistan International School Riyadh, Al Murabba. It was a time of pure excitement, nerves and pride. It was impossible to miss the buzz that filled the halls. It was no ordinary school day. Instead, teachers and students gathered in celebration of a milestone event.

What made everyone so excited? It wasn't just a graduation; it was also the first time that educators in PISR had completed the rigorous 1 Million Teachers Black Belt teachers training program. It was an extra-special graduation ceremony, as over 200 dedicated teachers proudly walked onto the stage. They have worked hard to overcome obstacles and are now ready to return to their classrooms, more motivated than ever.

This graduation event was more than a handshake and a certificate. It demonstrated how powerful it can be when teachers get together, encourage each other, and push themselves to grow. As we've said before, when teachers are constantly learning, they help their students to grow along with them. Seeing this in real life was simply incredible. What real progress looks and feels like!

A Historic Milestone in PISR

Reaching this milestone was no easy feat - it took a lot of effort! In a short time, most staff members at PISR took up the 1MT Black Belt. They assure that this was not just another teacher's training. It really pushed all of these educators to learn something new, to reflect on their teaching and to rethink what inspires students. It took energy, dedication and willingness to move out of comfort zones. But they didn't back down. They embraced it and made the experience their own.

Seeing that more than 200 teachers are taking this journey with PISR says so much about the spirit and passion at PISR. It was more than just a checklist. It was a place of support and encouragement where everyone could strive for greater heights. This moment was full of pride, not only for the Riyadh teachers but also for all members of the teaching community. When a school invests this much time and faith in its staff, it can achieve incredible results. You can sense it in the classrooms or hallways.

What Black Belts Represent

What's the deal with earning the Black Belt if you've not heard of 1 Million Teachers? It's the pinnacle of an online teacher's learning adventure. Not just another certificate, but a new level of growth, where you learn new strategies and deepen your commitment to teaching. That is what the Black Belt teacher training program actually means:

  • Mastering advanced teaching methodologies.

  • Demonstrated your commitment to lifelong education.

  • Joined the global community of educators working to solve the world's shortage of teachers through quality, retention and innovation.

These 200+ graduates now return to the classroom with fresh ideas, practical knowledge, and a renewed love for teaching. The teachers are now equipped with new skills to help them engage and support students. This energy will surely spread. It's thrilling to think of all the young students whose lives will be changed by these teachers. At 1 Million Teachers, we believe that when teachers feel empowered, their classrooms transform, and this impact extends beyond one school year.

Leadership that inspires

Let's face it, major leaps forward in education aren't just a coincidence. It needs someone with heart and vision. Principal Raja Mohammad Irfan was a leader with vision and heart. He was a strong believer in 1 Million Teachers and did all he could to make sure it thrived at PISR. He didn't simply talk about supporting teachers, he actually did it by creating real opportunities for development and success. Thanks to his dedication and encouragement, many educators were able to push past their limits and discover how much they are capable. Thank you so much for showing us how to lead with inspiration.

Principal Irfan's example of inspiring leadership was demonstrated by his opening of 1 million Teachers' amazing doors for PISR teachers. He didn't simply encourage his team from the sidelines. Instead, he stood beside them to ensure they had any and all resources they might need. It was only possible because of his constant encouragement, guidance and hands-on involvement. This achievement wouldn't have happened without his genuine commitment to his team.

Congratulations to the Achievers

What an amazing achievement for all of our graduates! You managed to balance your teaching duties with the professional development challenge. You crossed every obstacle with curiosity, determination and genuine passion for your work. The energy, commitment and spirit that you brought to the achievement of this milestone are something we are extremely proud of.

Achieving your 1MT Black Belt marks a significant achievement. You are now seen as a role model in your school and community for what is possible when you work hard and keep an open mind. As you enter your classrooms again, you carry more than just a set of new teaching techniques. You bring a new sense of purpose and confidence. Your example and impact will extend far beyond your classroom.

This graduation is a new start for PISR as well as the 1MT in Riyadh. There's an excitement for what lies ahead, with such a committed first group setting a high standard. The journey is not over yet. There are many opportunities for teachers to learn, grow and get involved. The movement is gaining momentum, and the outlook for the future is brighter than ever.

We are excited to celebrate this achievement and look forward to what lies ahead.
